UBER ADVERTISING GUIDELINES

General Terms

  • Opportunity includes ad visibility upon dispatch, en route, and on-trip ride phases.
  • Ride quantity is estimated, but not guaranteed.
  • Canceled rides are not counted in the estimated ride quantity purchased.
  • The campaign must target conference attendees.
  • The campaign must either drive to the relevant booth or reference the conference name.
  • The advertising company or sponsor must be identified. 
  • Ads must link out. Restrictions apply.
  • Uber does not accept third-party tags or third-party servers at this time. 
  • Ad type is static. Video ads are not accepted. 
  • All pharmaceutical advertising will be reviewed and approved by the Uber policy team and the Association. In the event a creative is not approved, the advertiser will be given the opportunity to submit a new creative. There will be no refunds given for unapproved campaigns. 
  • At time of purchase, please reference the advertising specifications provided by TriStar for all policies related to creative messaging. 
  • Uber reserves the right to modify advertising guidelines.

Pharmaceutical Product Advertising Terms

  • The creative and copy cannot promote or make any claims about the drug, e.g., “Learn about DRUG ABC for clearer skin”.
  • Only the drug name can be mentioned. The ad cannot mention the effects of the drug or the condition it treats. 
  • The ad should not include medical imagery or imagery of medical professionals, e.g., a person in a lab coat or scrubs.
  • Ads may link to HCP landing pages.
  • Ads cannot link to consumer landing pages. 
  • Landing pages must avoid selling or promoting the drug. 

Other Restrictions

  • The ad cannot promote any medical professionals.
  • The ad cannot promote any medical procedures. 
  • The ad cannot promote unlicensed physicians without board certification by the ABMS or its equivalent. 
  • The ad cannot promote plastic surgery.
  • The ad cannot promote non-FDA approved medical products (or equivalent medicine or therapeutic regulator in any relevant jurisdiction, including CBD products and weight loss supplements).

Special Notes

  • Opportunity is subject to availability at time of reservation.
  • Prepayment is required. 
  • Opportunity is non-cancelable and non-refundable upon contract signature. 
  • Late fees will be applied to ad materials submitted after the specified due date. 
  • TriStar is the exclusive partner for booking out-of-home marketing opportunities. Penalties may apply for non-compliance. 
  • Out-of-home marketing is subject to the terms and conditions set by the Association. 
  • All out-of-home marketing campaigns require approval from the Association and the vendor. If a creative is not approved, the advertiser will have the opportunity to submit a new version. No refunds will be issued for non-approved campaigns.
